Dora couldn't walk. Six months later, she runs with siblings.

A dog named Dora was hit by a car in a war-torn Ukrainian village and left with a shattered pelvis, unable to move. She was rescued by Lala, who runs an animal group called 12 Guards, and rushed to a clinic where surgeons performed emergency surgery to give her a chance at walking again. The operation worked, but it was only the start. Dora spent the next six months in a foster home, healing slowly and relearning how to walk. She stayed friendly through all of it, which anyone who has met a dog in pain will tell you is not a given. Once she could run and play, she was put up for adoption and found a family quickly. She now spends her days outdoors with her human siblings and her nights on soft blankets. Lala and her colleague Krystina keep pulling injured and hungry animals off the streets, one at a time.
