Firefighters raised a ladder and carried the cat down
How she got up there, nobody could say.
The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department responded last week to a call that felt more slapstick than emergency: a cat stuck on the roof of a home. The owner figured she had slipped out through an open skylight, then found herself on the ledge with no plan for getting down. Firefighters arrived, raised a ladder, and carried her back to safety. She is now indoors again, which is where cats prefer to be after proving they can be somewhere else. The department posted about the rescue on Facebook, where commenters thanked the crew and asked the more pressing question. Nobody could explain how she reached the skylight in the first place. The cat is not saying.
