He jumped on a moving bus and saved 18 kids
He could have filmed it. He jumped on instead.
Ebro Ahmed was standing outside the convenience store where he works in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Monday when a Battle Creek Middle School bus rolled past him with its doors open and lights flashing. The driver was having a medical emergency. Ahmed ran and jumped aboard the moving bus. "I tried to put it in park, I threw it in reverse by accident, and then I ended up getting it in neutral, pulled the parking brake," he told 5 Eyewitness News. He counted 18 children on board. None were hurt, and the driver was released from the hospital by Wednesday. Ahmed, who has no medical training, credits the TV show Grey's Anatomy. "I like to give my credit to Grey's Anatomy. I learned a lot," he said. Friends have taken to calling him Superman. Local business owner Sheletta Brundidge handed him a $1,000 check, noting that some heroes are store clerks.
