Seven students pushed her stranded car to safety

Seven high school students stopped to push a stranded car out of a busy road in Everett, Massachusetts, on Friday evening. Robin Gay's vehicle had died just after she finished a volunteer shift at a dance studio, leaving her stuck as traffic flew past. "Cars were literally flying, so I kind of went into a panic state," Gay said. "My biggest fear was somebody is going to hit me." The students noticed and ran over. Gay steered while the young men pushed the car toward a parking space, and one directed traffic. When it was safe, she tried to hand them money to say thanks. They pushed her hand away and gave her a hug instead. "It doesn't matter if you don't know the person," senior Emmanuel Lerbout said. "If you see someone in trouble, just go help." They would not take the cash. They took the hug.
