Two strangers lifted a car off his chest just in timeA father of two in Queensland is recovering after strangers lifted a 3,300-pound car off his chest with seconds to spare. Tyler Wiebe was riding his motorcycle to work in Brisbane when a driver crossed into oncoming traffic, sending a car surging backward and dragging him underneath. It stopped on his sternum. He couldn't breathe, and the pressure was so intense his heart couldn't beat. Rob and Brian, employees at a nearby business, heard the crash and ran out to find a pair of legs sticking out from under the vehicle. Their first attempt failed. Their second broke more of Wiebe's ribs. They kept going. "We just sort of grabbed the spot and just lifted with all our might," Rob said. Wiebe had surgery to stabilize a punctured lung and made a slow recovery. Later, on A Current Affair, he shook the men's hands and called them certified legends, through tears.

Childhood sweethearts, both 99, celebrated 80 years marriedBetty and Kermit Eastman, both 99, celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2026, at Talamore Senior Living in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They were childhood sweethearts in Thief River Falls, where Betty's family moved in across the street during her sophomore year of high school. Kermit noticed her right away. "I remember one time her dad said to her, 'I wonder what that Eastman boy is doing walking up and down the sidewalk,'" he told WCCO CBS News. Betty had noticed him too, and his early lawn-mowing business. Kermit left school to join the Navy during World War II, serving aboard the U.S.S. Mullaney when a kamikaze pilot struck it. They wrote letters through two years apart, married in a small ceremony when he returned, then finished high school as newlyweds. An 80th anniversary is called the Oak Anniversary. WCCO reports only one American couple reaches it each year. "I've loved her since I met her," Kermit said.

A son found the car his father gave up decades agoShane Allen traded away his own restored Mustang GT this year so his father could sit behind the wheel of the car he gave up decades ago to raise six sons. Daniel Allen bought a white 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a black hood and red stripes after returning from Vietnam. He took his future wife Diana on their first date in it, and drove it onto a ferry to propose. Then the children arrived, and the Mach 1 was traded for something roomier. Daniel and Shane spent years attending Father's Day car shows together, looking at Mustangs and talking about the one that got away. This year Shane found a match, refinished the paint, and hung a name tag reading "Daniel" from the rearview mirror. His father assumed it was a coincidence and joked, "where are my keys?" Shane handed them over. "He broke down and hugged me," Shane told PEOPLE.

"He looks at her, then back at us, and says, 'Well, I'm the prime minister of Curaçao,'" Mathi told WPDE-TV. Gilmar Pisas offered them an all-expenses trip to a future match on the spot. Mathi called his mom to check. Her verdict, per Christian: "Of course you're going."

The boat carries a subzero fridge stocked with 30 gallons of ice cream, offering both classic flavors and creative combinations. Waterfront customers get two choices. Flag them down, or call ahead. "We figured, why not bring something that we love to the water?" Caitlin told The New York Post. The idea caught on so thoroughly that the boat now gets booked for parties and events. Many locals have no idea the Manns also run a shop on dry land.
