Two friends danced for 20 minutes just because they wanted to

Rome, Italy · 4 November 2026

No tip jar. No camera. They didn't even want the video.

Two older Italians set up a speaker in Piazza Testaccio one summer evening, pressed play, and danced to Michael Jackson's "Beat It." They kept going for about 20 minutes, moving through five or so songs with simple choreography that shifted slightly each time. Sean Finelli, who runs the Rome tour operator The Tour Guy, filmed the clip on August 6 at around 7 p.m. and posted it to Instagram, where it passed five million views. There was no hat for tips and no one else filming. When Finelli offered the dancers the footage afterward, they didn't want it. At the end they walked off in separate directions. The man later appeared in the comments. "Hello everyone, I'm Pasquale, the gentleman in the video," he wrote. A commenter said he takes a group dance class at the local senior center. Another clarified the pair are friends, not a couple. They just wanted to dance.
